how do i add modpacks like the yogbox or tekkit to the launcher

No, I said "You Don't" because you don't. They get put in when they are done and we put them in. Like right now, Tekkit 2.0 was just released, so you can select it in the launcher. You probably won't have a server to play on just yet, but there you have it.
