Zivel Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I am wanting to run my quarry with electric engines to start off with, been doing some research and have found that an electric engine requires 6 EU/t to produce 2 MJ/t. But i have not been able to find out how much MJ/t a quarry needs to run at maximum. Can someone help please. :-)
Pokemane Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 It's around here a few times, but a quarry needs 10MJ/t, if I recall correctly.
gorgenzola Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Electrical engines seem to power my quarries quite well, but I got tired of dragging cables around, so I switched to biogas engines from the forestry mod.
Pokemane Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 electric engines -> power teleport pipe -> quarry. Barely any energy degradation (you can fiddle with the teleport pipes' power loss/distance in the configs) and you need chunkloader blocks anyway for when you log out. Might as well, especially if you have a nuclear reactor.
