Karbonade Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I've been trying to install the Portal gun mod and the Mo Creatures mod into Tekkit for a couple of days now. I've watched a lot of Youtube films about how to install them into Tekkit and I've followed them step by step. For the time beeing I'm only playing singleplayer Tekkit, I'm NOT trying to connect to a Tekkit server who are using these mods. I've reinstalled Tekkit several times and started from scratch and I delete the "META-INF" file every time. I have placed the mods in the mod folder (still ziped), I have unziped the mods and placed them in the modpack.jar, i have even tried to put the files into the minecraft.jar file As i said i have done this several times now, sometimes putting the files in both the mod folder and in the modpack.jar thingy, other times I've put the mod only in the Mod folder and of course tried to put the files only in the Modpack.jar file. I have no problems loading or playing Tekkit, but it dosen't seem to detect the mods I have tried to install. When i open Tekkit it keeps showing that there is 41 mods installed and these are of course only the standard ones. Any help would be very much appreciated and if you guys need more information to help me out just ask :)
theprolo Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Make sure they are the right Minecraft versions, since Tekkit Classic is Minecraft 1.2.5.
Karbonade Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Make sure they are the right Minecraft versions, since Tekkit Classic is Minecraft 1.2.5. Oki, so I did that. I downloaded "portalgun 1.2.5v1". After downloading it I placed it in the Mod folder (still zipped), when i launched Tekkit it crashed (still saying 41 mods loaded at the top of the report), so i went back and read the "readme" file in the portal mod. It said I had to put the extracted portalgun folder into the mod folder, so i deleted the zipped one and replaced it with the extracted folder. Then I tried to launch Tekkit, but it crashed again. Only this time it said "42 Mods loaded" at the top of the report, portalgun beeing one of them. Thanx for the help :)
Karbonade Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 I decided to watch one of the Youtube films again hoping to notice something I'd missed. After downloading the correct version as you suggested, theprolo, i forgot to change the blockID's. After doing that it finally works. Thanx a lot theprolo you just made my day! Really thanx A LOT!!!!
theprolo Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 No problem. Remember, if you do try to add them to a server, you need the Bukkit ports(special versions which work with Craftbukkit), which can be found at a website called MCportcentral.

Cause no matter what I try I cant get it to work >_< And yes I'm using the 1.2.5 version etc. I've put both CustomSpawner for 1.2.5 in the Mods folder and the modpack.jar and same goes for the actual MoCreatures mod..
theprolo Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I think you need GuiAPI to install Mo' Creatures.
