When i log in the game crashes before I get to the Mojang screen

Launcher Version: 3.1.2

Operating System: Mac Osx Lion

Java Version: Newest

Antivirus Program: I have no idea Mac Osx Antivirus???

Description of Problem:

When i log in it brings me to the tekkit window and the screen is white. Then the white flashes to black and hen white again and hen tekkit closes. Also i never get to the mojang screen. I NEED HELP! P.S All the modpacks don't work. Even vanilla but my minecraft works.

Hi TheJordan, I think many Mac users are having this problem. From what I can tell it is an issue with the lwjgl.jar and related files. I've gone to their website and saw that there was some discussion on the forum there, but it was a bit technical for me. I do not have an answer for you, as I am having the same issue and downloading the newest lwjgl files did not some the issue. I do not see any info other than the messege above to Mac users saying the issue has been resolved.

Let's try to keep each other updated. I'll post here if I find any work arounds or solutions.

OK, so I found a very tedious work around. It uses MultiMC, if you've ever used that. I'll paste a link to my discription in the main Attention Mac thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/mac-users-important-fix-hello-crash-problem.35023/

Basically, you make an "instance" of MC, then paste the mods and cnf files from the broken Tekkit or Volts folders. Take a look and see if you can get it working that way. It does work for me, but it took about a day to get running right.

I do not believe that lwjgl works with java 7 so downgrade it to java 6 this did work for me before but now it is doing the same thing as you even with java 6. So downgrading to java 6 may fix it or not inform me if it does not. here is the link to downgrade http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559?viewlocale=en_US

I am able to get slightly farther (or at least more logging) than the original poster, but I basically watch everything download, then tekkit SMP screen shows up and vanishes as quickly as it appeared. Here's my log:

I think i have found the fix. First off downgrade Java 7 to Java 6 from here. Next go to Library find the Java folder open it and in it you should see JavaVirtualMachines delete it and that should fix the problem and tekkit should work.

I got the exact same problem. Also, Dinger replied with a possible solution, which may work for some but for me... Nothing. Have you been able to solve this problem? I really want to play, but i just can't. I have been trying for 2 weeks to find a solution and i tried a lot myself. Nothing seems to help.

wft am I doing wrong? I played for days last year...

Now, i can't even start up the damn game!

Really, no one knows the solution?

I can't find the java folder...

Go to Finder and on the top left hand corner you should see Go click on it. Near the bottom of the list you should see Go to Folder click on that then type "/Library/Java". It will bring you to the folder

Go to Finder and on the top left hand corner you should see Go click on it. Near the bottom of the list you should see Go to Folder click on that then type "/Library/Java". It will bring you to the folder

No java... when I do: go,and then Library/Java, it says there's no Java map
