Description of Problem:

Below line from the log seems to sum up the problem.

"Downloaded 'minecraft.jar' does not matche MD5 of any known minecraft version!"

Any ideas?

Description of Problem: -[FIXED]-

Basically the same problem as OP. Just started doing this today. Other people I know are having no problem.

Tried deleting my .techniclauncher dir and installing fresh, and still no fix.

-EDIT- Looking into it more I see that the minecraft.yml that the launcher keeps grabbing does not have any MD5 info for 1.4.7... No idea why, but I seem to be grabbing an older/cached version. Currently have my network sysadmin looking into it.

-EDIT2+3- Looks like that was the problem. My local proxy/firewall server had the old version of the file cached. Had to make an entry for mirror.technicpack.net and 206.217.207.1 to not be cached anymore. I also had to delete most of my ./techniclauncher dir to force it to grab the latest versions of everything.

Great idea but not a solution for me sadly. My firewall's cache isn't enabled and at least 3 other computers on my network have been able to successfully download tekkit. It appears that I can get around the issue for now by downloading tekkit onto another computer and then moving the .techniclauncher folder to my computer.

iv tired moving the tecchnic launcher files off my girlfriends laptop on to my pc and mines still coming up with update failed.and iv tried all the uninstall and reinstall ideas and clearing the cache but i stil get it to work =(
