XianaFyre

Question

Launcher Version: Um... the most recent one? I literally just redownloaded it today. Twice.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7

Java Version: 1.7.0_09

Antivirus Program: COMODO Internet Security Premium (but it's in game mode)

Description of Problem:

Whenever I try to launch... well the launcher... it starts updating, then I get hit with a window before I log in that says: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immediately. Access to the path is denied.

I have un- and re-installed both the launcher and minecraft, and have run the launcher in administrator mode. No dice. Help me pleeeease!

Error Messages:

The one above in my message, then this shows up in a little drop-down part of the box:

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Error Log:

... I couldn't find the folder. That's bad, isn't it?

Alright, Standard trouble shooting list. Disable your antivirus (Not just game mod, I mean completely off), AV programs, even if set in a "lite" type mode, absolutely HATE programs loading files from the internet to restricted pathways, and Appdata is considered Hidden.

As for finding the .Technic folder, Go to the start menu, and in search, type in %appdata% and it should open the folder that contains .minecraft and .technic. If Technic managed an error log (Not likely though) It would be there.
