Open One of the modpacks window closes no modpack window

When I try and open one of the modpacks the launcher closes like normal but the modpack window doesn't come up.

I have found the fix. First off downgrade Java 7 to Java 6 from here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559?viewlocale=en_US. Next go to Finder and on the top left hand corner you should see Go click on it. Near the bottom of the list you should see Go to Folder click on that then type "/Library/Java". In that folder you should see JavaVirtualMachines delete it and that should fix the problem and tekkit should work.
