Launcher turns on fine, no modpacks work.

Launcher Version: Technic launcher build 1.0.1.3 Modpack build 1.0.9 (latest)

Operating System: Windows XP

Java Version: java version 1.7.0_13

Antivirus Program: AVG 2011

Description of Problem:

After i choose any modpack, it shows a window with the name of the modpack but with a white screen, a hello! window comes up, dissapears and everything stops responding.

well, ive updated java after realising my mistake in the first place (internet wasnt working for the past week) So now i get the hello! and then it disappears, modpack stops responding -.-

I am having a similar problem. Im on a macbook pro. I have had the problem for some time now, and havent been able to load ANY modpacks. I have tried the common problems forum and nothing seems to work.

The launcher opens seemingly without a problem at first, but when I attempt to log into a modpack, a white window appears before the launcher crashes...

There's your problem. That was in the common problems and solutions, by the way. Completely uninstall AVG and get AVAST.

whenever i try to use technic i open a mod pack it loads, goes to the mojang screen then crashes. i think it is a java error because i get hs_err_pid.... on my desktop but i have uninstalled java 3 times and untinstalled technic launcher 3 times and it still dosent work. please help, thanks
