server.properties does not generate on server startup

I just started to set up a tekkit server today, and every thing was going fine until I check the directory the server was in. There were no ops.txt, whitelist.txt, etc. files there. This wouldn't bg me normally, but I'm setting up more than one server on this computer (it's a mac, by the way) and I'd like to be able to control whic port the tekkit server ends up on.

Sorry, false alarm. For some reason java generated the properties files in my home folder.
