Tekkit client 'Can't reach server'

So I started up a new server a while back but tonight for some reason I'm having a major issue connecting to the server using my macbook (what I normally use to connect.)

I've checked the IP, all the firewall setting in the router, checked my macbook has internet connection and everything I can think of but I'm still getting this error after it says 'Polling..' for a while.

If anyone has any random things that they can think of that might help with this issue then that would be muchly appreciated!
