ISO: How to prevent item droppage on death

I'm terribly sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

I have just recently started hosting a community of about 5 to 10 people.

We LOVED vanilla but I've been dying for Tekkit, so here we are.

Now that Tekkit is up and running, the command "/gamerule keepInventory true" does not work and my newblets are dropping items on death, which no one thinks is fun at all. I doubt anyone cares about XP, -so-...

How can I get this back on Tekkit? Thanks!

Why not try downloading a plugin from dev.bukkit.org

Also you could setup the /back command for essentials with permissionsex so if someone dies they can run that command and return to where they died.
