How to add new mods to Tekkit?

I'm new to the whole server thing but I made a tekkit server for my boyfriend i and our other friends and it works but i wanted to add more mods to it like Pam's mods and Jammys furniture mod and i've looked at a bunch of threads and nothing works and i have no idea how to mess with the new thing they just put on... i tried going to .technicpack/tekkit/mods and putting it in there but it doesn't work. Nothing crashes but it doesn't load... Can someone help please im not very good at these things xD
