Pipes that don't connect to wooden pipes

Are there any pipes that don't connect to a wooden pipe? I know sandstone pipes don't connect to chests but wooden pipes are a pain in in the ass if you want to make compact machinery.

The only way I can think to do this is by using logistics pipes with disconnection upgrades.

Wooden pipes do not connect to wooden pipes. Also, use facades.

Redpower. If you know how to use it it makes life very easy. I can make a system 10 times faster, 10 times more reliable, and half the size with redpower instead of to BC. Logistics Pipes are great for auto crafting but lack in ease of use.
