Technic Launcher wont get past "Checking Launcher version"

Launcher Version: 3.1.2

Operating System: Win 7

Java Version: latest version runtime 13 I think it said on install, Java 7

Antivirus Program: bitdefender

Description of Problem:

Technic Launcher wont get past "Checking Launcher version"

I get exactly the same problem. I've uninstalled it, deleted the technic launcher folder in AppData, re-installed it, restarted my computer... What is going on? My internet connection is working perfectly fine.

Hey Thomas, I solved my issue. I am using the beta launcher right now and it works 100%
