H\M Update Failed

I want to try HM but whenever i select HM in the technic launcher it shows a bunch of progress bars they fill, disappear and then i get a Update Failed message is there a way to get around this?

Try to go to options on your launcher while having H/M selected and click "clear cache", and then try to login. I had this problem as well, and this worked for me.
