Redpower Logic Gates Question

I'm looking to create an alarm system in Tekkit classic using the logic gates.

I want it so that if a pressure plate is stepped on the alarm will go off, but if a lever is also on, the alarm won't go off.

This means that the alarm is controlled by the lever. If the lever is on, the pressure plate does nothing, but if the lever is off, the pressure plate sets off the alarm.

Use an AND gate. place a redstone torch on one input side, wire from the lever on a second, and a separate wire from the pressure plate on the third input. Leave the lever on to keep the alarm set to on, and turn it off to disable the alarm.

I just used the screwdriver to disable the third input instead of using the torch. Thanks!
