Can't allocate more than 4GB -- yes running 64 bit java

Launcher Version: 1.1.2.0

Operating System: Win8

Java Version: 1.7.0_15

Antivirus Program: Avast

Description of Problem:

Game keeps freezing when it gets to 100% allocation. No matter what, if I choose 8 GB, it only allocates 4GB. I even went to control panel->java and then added -Xmx8192M to the runtime parameters.

you computer might not be able to make it so what ever your trying to load why are you trying to use 8 giga bytes of ram you don't even need that much for it use less is what i recommend but if you insist on using 8 gigs then what i suggest is making sure tekkit lite can even use gigs or any other mod pack can sue them other then tha ti can' help you i'm not an expert at the technic launcher.
