FML crash new tekkit launcher Macintosh

Operating System: OS X Mountain Lion

Java Version: java 6

Antivirus Program: none

Description of Problem:

i have just downloaded the new Tekkit Launcher and was extremely excited that you can download other mods and play them so i try to download one. and i download it fine and then it tries to open it up and a box that says hello comes up and says FML error?

It is becuase your on Mac OSX Lion and you need to run the TechnicLauncher.jar with java 6 not java 7. The control panel for java was taken out in Lion so all you need to do is download this program and run it. But first place the TechnicLauncher.jar on your DESKTOP IT NEEDS TO BE NAMED TechnicLauncher.jar or else it wont run. Post back if this helped!!

Also your terminal will open with a code thingy and if you close it. It will say "Do you want to close this window?"

Click CLOSE it wont matter.

ok sooo i need to run it with java 6 and it will work?

But taking java off a mac is very HARD and almost cant be done by you i bet. Also i dont know if it is posable to get the old java 6 for mac or it will be hard to find it

update ur java then use the thingy i do bc u have java 6?

ok i googled how to revert back to java 6 from 7 and it gave me a few commands to type into the terminal so i hope this will work?!

i did the same thing this is what it says:

There was a fatal error starting up Minecraft and FML

Minecraft cannot launch in its current configuration

please consult the file /Users/jacob/Library/Application Support/technic/plus-pack/ForgeModLoader-client-0.log

for me, it works only if it is the first time opening voltz after updating the launcher via changing the launcher version control.

ive been doing some more research but found nothing on this problem somebody really needs to help me ive done everything everyone has said but still nothing

first:create a folder on your desktop named Tekkit (it has to be capital) and then copy this code into your terminal

cd ~/Desktop/Tekkit/

export JAVA_HOME=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home

java -jar TechnicLauncher.jar

then hit launch and it will no longer crash
