I got a similar error when installing the Java developer kit. Try this

in CMD type: java -version

if it can't get a java version do the below.

1. Right click Computer

2. Click properties

3. Click "Advanced system settings"

4. Click "Environment Variables"

5. Under system variables, find the Path variable

6. Click edit, and append to the end of the value: ";C:\(insert java.exe path here)"

7. restart the launcher

Okay, then try using JavaRa to clean it all out, and reinstall java after that.

Ignore that user variable up there, i had a stupid moment.

That path variable that's highlighted is what you should have changed. If you don't have that, it's okay to add it.
