I was wondering if someone could give me a step by step help on how to set up a Tekkit server using FTP on my Verygames server (I have it updated to JAva 7 before you comment :P). I have OpenMod installed and have tried it myself, however, the server will not start. The ControlPanel also does not create a world in the OpenMod folders (I am not sure if this is an issue, I dragged previous world files in there but it didn't help).

Thanks to anyone that can help!

Anyone? If this can be made to work, it means there is another open server there. I am planning it to be 20-30 slots (When I upgrade) and no whitelist. Please someone help!

Java 1.7? 0.o

Java 7 is often called 1.7 because it's the internal version number, as in "Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_03-b04)". Sun numbered their first 4 releases 1.1 -> 1.4 then switched to the current naming for its product name but the internal version is still 1.x and is therefore the correct term when giving the version that you are running on(although only really if you include the update number).

On topic: Unfortunately I have no experience with that specific hoster but there are a number of guides stickied, have you looked at them?

Unfortunatly, I have read the stickied guides. They're all about hosting on your home pc though... Not good xD! I just need someone who has setup a server with FTP. I can set the Java OpenMod to run "Tekkit.jar" and it restarts the server (on console, cannot get it to be joinable) but never fully starts and doesn't create a world :(

Has ANYBODY got any idea what I can do? I am doing the right thing by putting ALL Tekkit files/folders in the OpenMod folder right? Or do I put it in CraftBukkit folder? If I do put it in the CraftBukkit folder, which files? and do I remove/replace any? I am in dire need of help people!
