log in not working on my mac?

i open the launcher, and then select a mod pack and type my user name and password. Then whenever i click log in it says i have an invalid username and password combination. I have tried reinstalling the launcher, and even changing my password. Im absolutely sure im typing in the password correctly, and i have tried tons of times, i also checked mulitple times on technic platform (the website), and i can log in fine there. my username has "-" in it multiple times. is this part of the problem? please help so i can play.

You need to use your Minecraft login. You also need Premium Minecraft (I'm not accusing you of Piracy here, but it's a mistake that a lot of people make)
