can not get lancher to fully install

Operating System: windows 7 home

Java Version: 1.7.0_02 64 bit

Antivirus Program: norton

Description of Problem:

after the launcher installs it opens up as i open up a pack and log in it gets half way through downloading the pack then comes up with an error screen also i do not know how to open it up other than re-downloading it

i got this same message but instead of tekkit it happened to me on voltz

I think this is related to the new 1.5 Minecraft release. Please wait until some kind of patch are released.

when can i expect a patch im kind of new to mojang completely days?weeks?

I got this exact same issue last night, and it seems like a lot of other people are getting the same issue as well. Whatever the fix is for this, say it be a new patch, I hope it comes soon.
