Problem with the crafting table background

Whenever i click on a crafting table or furnace the background where you place items is completely white and i cannot see where im placing blocks. Is it just my texture pack or something else. Note: Im playing on the classic version. Im using the Sphax PureBDcraft 128x MC15 texture pack
