friend has problems with tekkit server

hey my friend has problems with hes tekkit server it says something like:

at the end of it i checked most topics but found no real answers to this:

1:Yes he updated to java 7 jdk but if he does that whe dont know how to let it use that java(dutch pc and translations ain't correct so the guide doesn't help)

2:it works perfectly fine if i start it except that it laggs

3: hes java is like:java/jre6/bin is this good or bad?

btw adding more memory to the launch bat doesnt work either
