Modpack installation/ creation troubles

First of all I would like to apologize for my insufficient knowledge when it comes to creating a mod pack and its inner workings. But I have successfully created a mod pack. The problem is that when i download the mod pack from the launcher the sip file appears as a folder inside of the pack that was created. Is there any explanation for why this is. I have checked other modpacks that i have downloaded and this issue does not appear for them

You probably zipped it wrong. The zip folder should look like this:

Modpack.zip

Bin

Mods

Core mods

Config

Not this:

Modpack.zip

Modpack folder

Bin

Mods

Core mods

Config

Make sure it's set up like the first example (when you open the .zip it should just be 4 folders not a folder containing them).

i have it zipped correctly just like you had it above. But is it a problem that i have more folders installed. For example i have a folder for flan and for texturepacks.

No, extra folders shouldn't be a problem.

Are you sure that it's actually a zip file, and not .zip.rar or something like that?

it has .zip at the end and no .rar im re-uploading the pack right now

edit: just did it again and am getting the same problem

Do you think it might be a Mac problem because I have everything set up like you said
