Revered Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I'm attempting to create a digital clock using redpower insulated wires. I have each segment of a seven segment display hooked up to a different color of wire (red, blue, etc.). The signals are then carried by bundled cable to save space. But I've noticed that when all the colors are powered at the same, there is a noticeable delay between some of the segments being activated (red and blue insulated wires are activating faster than black and cyan). I don't have any delays added to the system, so I'm not sure why this is happening. Here's a picture of the setup.
Industrial Miner Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Could you maybe do a bit more testing? Lay out a few colored cables far apart from eachother with a bundled cable in between. Then activate them both at one side of the bundled cable and see if there is a noticable delay. It might be just a bit of lag.
