So i looked at 8 videos and 3 tutorials. I can get the launcher to start the modpack, but there are no mods in it.

I have a file called modpack.zip with coremods, bin, config, and mods folders inside it. Inside are mods and what not. I can manually add the files from the zip to a 1.4.7 clean game and it works, but the launcher isn't doing that. I gave the direct link for modpack location. No download buttons, enter that droipbox URL and it just starts downloading. I enter the mod folder after technic launcher installs it, and i dont even see a mods folder in my pack's directory, but i do see a coremods folder (empty though).

Does it seem like i'm doing something wrong? Or should i just try something else?

I'm having a similar problem with my pack as well.

My modpack page: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/beta-neabian.60186

My modpacks download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/133366779/Pixelmon%20Client.zip

Mods

Forge - 7.7.1.639

ReiMinimap - v3.3_04 (with accompanying Login Message - v0.4)

Pixelmon - 2.1.2

Optifine - HD_U_B2

I narrowed it down to something either in the download not completing (or even starting) or the .zip not being decompressed and so a fresh vanilla Minecraft is left in the modpack folder.

The file is probably failing to download.

Change your modpack url from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/133366779/Pixelmon Client.zip to http://dl.dropbox.com/u/133366779/Pixelmon Client.zip/

the trailing slash shows that that is the end of the URL. Without it, platform is just assuming your url is

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/133366779/Pixelmon

EDIT: Confirmed download failure, the file that downloads is an HTML file that redirects to the proper download. the dropbox download service is acting up, use this link for modpack url instead: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/133366779/Pixelmon Client.zip

I tried adding a slash at the end so it is now http://dl.dropbox.com/u/160968898/QraftDL.zip/ on the location, and it changes nothing :-/ Could we get a MOD or an official team member in here?

Stop spamming every thread you see with your problem.

I have found the real problem, it is because dropbox's direct download service has changed recently.

Use this link for the modpack url instead: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/160968898/QraftDL.zip/

You really need to just remove the space from your mod pack name. Spaces in file names benefit no one when you're trying to perform a multi-step process involving URLs.
