RCT12 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Can someone please tell me why my modpack opens in vanilla, I could really use some help with this. http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/rctcraft
advvtech Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Are you using Dropbox to store it? if so make sure you grab the actually download link. (right-click on download and select copy link address)
RCT12 Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/86975994/RCTCraft.rar There you go, btw this is just a private modpack for me and my friends, just trying to get it to work. :/ It sure is being a pain though.
advvtech Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Already found your problem. It supposed to be .zip not .rar
RCT12 Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 It's still in vanilla btw http://dl.dropbox.com/u/86975994/RCTCraft.zip :/
miniboxer Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 It's still in vanilla btw http://dl.dropbox.com/u/86975994/RCTCraft.zip :/ did you reset the pack so it would redownload?
thedude55555 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Im having the same problem (we meet again miniboxer XD) and I think this may be an error with dropbox, not sure though. I've definitely confirmed that its a problem with the zip file not downloading at all. I have evidence, if you go to .technic, then the name of your modpack, you can see that in the temp folder there is the zip in which the files you uploaded to dropbox would be, but only 1 kb in size. My conclusion is that the download is starting, and the zip is created, but its not downloading for some reason, the fix, thats what I'm here for. As a last note, if you open the incomplete zip, it will tell you that it is corrupt or incomplete.
miniboxer Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 It's still in vanilla btw http://dl.dropbox.com/u/86975994/RCTCraft.zip :/ dropbox is acting up. use http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/86975994/RCTCraft.zip instead.
RCT12 Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 Nope it's still opening in vanilla, I think I might have packaged it wrong, can someone check it out to see what I did wrong?
