Technic Launcher Will not launch , it just shows logo and then stops.

Launcher Version: Unsure. Approximately 9 before current I think.

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium. 32-Bit/

Java Version: Version 7 most recent (Updated just now).

Antivirus Program: Mcaffee. BT NetProtect Plus.

Description of Problem:

I wanted to update my quite old version of Technic launcher but was unsure how, and so i deleted it with the intention of reinstalling it as the new version. When i installed the newer version i simply could not start it. The logo is displayed but then it stops all together. I had my friend on team viewer trying to help me but he couldn't figure out what was wrong...

Error Messages:

None just wont start.
