Error running server software 6.1

I get this error every time. Mind you I have no idea how to copy paste in cmd prompt.

Error occurred during initialization of VM

Could not reserve enough space for object heap

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Any suggestions?

Getting a new computer is a welcome suggestion seeing as that could very well be the issue and I don't know. I mean this is a laptop, but if you're going to tell me I need a new computer as least tell me why.

-Xmx3G -Xms2G means start with 2 gigs of memory and let it go as high as 3 gigs as memory. If you don't have 3 gigs of memory, you'll not be able to use these parameters. You can reduce these numbers to get your server running but if you do, please don't come in here being all like "oh my server's randomly crashing, it's saying out of memory, it's laggy, etc."

Thank you for your help, CanVox. If it does crash and it's laggy I understand my computer sucks and tekkit lite probably can't run properly on those settings.
