I am unable to launch Technic Launcher

Launcher Version: 223

Operating System: Windows XP SP2

Java Version: Java 6 Update 26

Antivirus Program: ScanSafe

Description of Problem:

When I run Technic Launcher I get a windows error box that says:

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

C:DOCUME~1CLARKAPPLIC~1TECHNI~1temp.exe

The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.

CS:12a9 IP: 0db OP 63 63 65 73 73 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Then the program seems to crash

1. Did you download the launcher from this site?

2. Try disabling your AV when you do so.
