Getting Started

So how does everyone like to start out the new tekkit? I use to go straight into IC2 and that's what I mainly focused on, now I'm a bit lost on how to start. Just doing some gathering for now, what's next? Of coarse I'm going for a moon castle later on but what to do on the way there?

I like to raid the pocket dimensions first, remember to only enter if you have a linking book. That will sort you out with a ton of good loot to get you started. Then I go for a few turtles and tunnel at y45 and y12. Then its time to hook up a pulverizer and powered furnace, using what ever fuel source is the most abundant for power. A basic sorting system and a quarry is next on the list. While a 64x64 quarry is busy, Ill build the rest of the machines and some power armour. When the quarry is done,,,TO THE MOON!

For power, build a biofuel generator when you can. It'll keep you going for a while

I normally raid the dimensional doors and come back with a ton of loot. If you get lucky you'll find blocks of diamond.....but watch out for the traps!

Great tips guys. I also found THIS. I think I'll be good to start up. I love finding ore that I've never seen before, it brings a new feel to cave exploring. I'll have to look up the pocket dimensions before I get started in that.
