So why have a unavoidable notification? (JAVA 1.7 Mac)

So when ever I try to launch the "Technic Launcher" a unavoidable notification pops up telling me I need to either downgrade to 1.6 or to update the lwjgl files. But at times the notification does not pop up nor does there appear to be any bugs the notification was protecting me from. So why do you force the Users to not use the launcher when missing the requirements instead of giving them a choice to ignore it and move on to playing it? That would make more sense instead of completely removing the choice to continue onto the game.(For example if you try to remove the notification by clicking close, exit, or outside the box the launcher quits.)

If you have your reasons then I hope you logically explain instead of saying something so dimwitted like "We just wanted to".

Not asking for a fix, I am asking why do you force a users to install a bunch of files when everything works fine without the notification.
