I need help getting a modpack

So my freind made a modpack on the old launcher, and I was wondering how I could get it into the new launcher, could I just paste the files into the launcher's files?

Your gonna wanna make an appropriate zip containing the needed folders, then host on a dropbox or other file sharing website that allows direct downloading.
