Over the course of playing, microblocks will gradually disappear on the client side. Attempting to pass through the space formerly occupied by the blocks results in rubberbanding.
Leaving and rejoining the server does not fix the issue, but closing minecraft completely and restarting restores all the blocks.
This is greatly accelerated by using a mystcraft linking book or a dimensional door - upon entering the world where the microblocks are located, few if any microblocks in the chunks nearest to the player are present. Microblocks in the chunks further from the spawn point are still present.
(Tekkit version is 1.0.6 not 1_0_3, but there was no option to select it.)
