It won't let me add more packs to my launcher

I scroll down to "add new mod pack" thing on my launcher and click launch. I wait a few minutes and nothing happens. I click again and nothing happens. Eventually I end up playing some kind of mouse clicking song because the little screen thing that lets you put in the mod's URL never pops up. Unless there's some other magical button I have to press to add more mod packs, the "add new mod pack" thing is broken.
