TechnicLauncher "Update Failed"

I try to login and then the launcher downloads 3 Files on the 3rd file it stops at 96% and says "Update Fail" i know its now my internet i tried it on my brothers computer and his works and ive also uninstalled all Java components and Reinstalled and i even installed Java 7. Please help ive been trying to get this working for about 5hrs now and ive already ran it from the .technic in the Roaming folder and ive also created a .BAT for it to run in Java 6 it seems it doesnt work so im at a loss here please help. Thanks!

Computer Specs:

Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit

4Gb Ram

Java 32 Bit

And AVG Antiviris (i already allowed the launcher to get through this)

Read the other threads, just below yours. There are quite a few. Many about this. An answer you will find.

After this problem gets patched, you may still have issues. This is because AVG does not like to relinquish it's hold on your computer.

Thare have been a good number of people who have had to completely uninstall AVG in order to get technickpack working.

did you read? I didn't say that uninstalling will fix your problem NOW, i said "after this gets patched" because it looks like there's a problem with how the launcher handles the new minecraft update.

I uninstalled AVG and it didnt work looks like you are right we have to wait for the Patch:)
