White screen bug

So i tried installing big dig today and it worked until i closed it. Now it just white screens. I've done some testing and it seem that it will sometimes run on the latest version but i want to run on the recommended because my friends server run off of it. I do realize it takes a while for it to load so i sat there for about 5 minutes and nothing happened.
