addis0n Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could help me - I'm a bit of a noob to this. I run a virtual server box and I have run minecraft on it in the past and now I am running a hexxit server on it. I have two questions 1) Why won't hexxit let me launch with more than 1gb of memory? I have never had this issue with any other version of minecraft server I have ever run. I have tried 1.5 and 2gb and I know I have more than enough to do that. Does anyone know any tricks? I know the server can handle way more (I think I have around 6gb) 2)How do I get a mod to work with hexxit, it seems to just ignore mods I place in the server folder? I am specifically looking for a mod to /sethome so people dont have to walk all the way back when they die. Thank you any help is greatly appreciated! Quote
fpower Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 First install bukkitforge. It allows you to install plugins that allow /sethome (prefarably essentials! ) Plugins go in the plugin folder not mods folder. And hexxit runs fine w 1 gig. I run a 768 mb hexxit server no lagging out (close but not). Hope this helped . Quote
TekkitNoodle Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I use MCPC+. I have tried bukkitforge. It's good but I prefer MCPC+. It should run on 1GB. You may not be able to have many players on at one time. Maybe 5-10. Quote
