Item id list?

Hey there,

I was wondering if there's a better way to find out the id's of each item/block. As of now I'm throwing items in a chest and opening the world with mcedit to check the id of each item but this doesn't seem very efficient. The wiki's don't mention anything either and a quick google/forum search didn't aid me in finding any lists.

Is there an easier way to go about doing this?

Go into NEI options and enable the showing of item ids for every item you mouse over in the sidebar or in your inventory?
