Overworld Space Station Pitch Black

So I've made my own space station but it's dark as ...well you get the point. So I can't see anything except the starts around me? Has anyone else got this problem?

Did you have night vision on when you were in the space station?

There are no lights or air on the space station at first. Try putting your brightness up, some glow stone lamps would help too. Or it might just need a block update.
