Disappearing mod plants?

So I don't know why but on my computer at my dads house plants like Torchberries or those glowing mushrooms that spawn in caves will immediately turn invisible/despawn? I played with a buddy of mine on my server and while those plants will disappear/despawn for me, he is still able to break them/collect them?? Any ideas?

When I turned block ID on some stuff would disappear if I looked at it. I turned it off again and the stuff stays.

Yep that was it, thanks again, shame that was the issue I liked using that for the crap I didn't know what was =/
