Get old save back

I was playing tekkit and i thought i would go back to the old 3.0.0 to get the crafting table 3. i opened it up and it opened vanilla. i was in a creative world so it was like a massive city. i used a lot of mod blocks and every thing that i viewed was taking away all the tekkit items away. i went back to the newest. it had the mods but the main part of my city was destroyed including a nuclear reactor and two towers. is it possible to get back old saves.

I doubt it. You could try and see if there's a level.dat_old and replace it with your level.dat see if that restores something.

thanks i found a level.dat_old file in my tekkit folder

didnt restore anything that i see thanks for trying the vanila items are still their so i will just start building it again

You could use a mod like this: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1548243-161-worldstatecheckpoints-ssp-world-save-points/ that will back up your world periodically and prevent this from happening.
