what is a platform delivery URL?

so im a computer noob and i just download technic launcher but when i add a pack it says that i need a platform delivery URL? what is it? it did not open browser or anything, please help!

Go to http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/list and search for a modpack.

At the top of each page you'll find an url. When you click on "add modpack" in the launcher it's asking for that url you found in your browser.

Hexxit is a pack that comes standard with the Technic launcher.

But when I download and start the technic launcher, all it says is 'Add new pack' in all the slots! help plz
