Classic Redstone Crash? Patch?

Hello, I know there is a redstone bug you can to to cause servers to crash. What is the patch that can be used to fix it?

Picture shows - If you were to make this exactly, and hit the lever the server would crash instantly.

Getting this EXACT problem. Same setup, sometimes a bit smaller but still the same lever->redstone->red alloy setup.

Did you get a fix? If not then can anyone else provide some input?

It's getting very annoying having someone log-in and just crash the server until the next scheduled restart!

Does anyone have a patch for this? I know on some of the bigger servers the alloy will automatically break in that configuration.

Hey, yeah really need a patch!

I've been thinking an a temp-fix would be restricting the placement of red alloy next to redstone with a plugin, but I don't know what plugin would allow you to do this? Any ideas?

BagOfKnobs, I just disabled the right click of redstone (make sure you add it to your deployer blacklist in ../redpower/redpower.cfg). I'm going to keep it that way until someone publicly releases a patch.

That's a game destroying way of going about it...Not allowing redstone entirely?!

I simply disabled right clicking of it, you can still craft with it and all that jazz

Right clicking then stops people making redstone powered things... Yes they can still use red alloy but that's a really bad fix...

I'll send this to tekkit restrict, maybe they can do something about it.
