Pre-Generating Servers?

So I been googling around for this and everything I find is from 2011 or 2012 and usually says outdated as of (x). I was curious if there is a way to pre-generate a world for my server so that we don't have to deal with the world gen in game as much. My friends tend to crash constantly when we explore and I been trying to generate areas simply by flying through them. It'd be nice to finally just generate a large mass of land so we can play a bit smoother.
