shaneciora Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 When I try to cut down a tree with a diamond pickaxe, it takes as long as it would as if I were using my fist. And I can't even cut down a tree with my fists now, it takes too long. Please Fix!!!
Legofan2676 Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Well with the inside of a Redwood tree for example, some can be broken with an axe but some have to be broken by fist. That's your fix for Sequoia Trees.
lothsun Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 This is not a bug. It is a config option for treecapitator. quoted from the treecapitator mod forum post: The break speed of log blocks is determined by the height of the tree it belongs to. If you don't like it, set treeHeightDecidesBreakSpeed=false in your config
Cheap Shot Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 We're reverting this change probably. We prefer it the way it was before.
dizzysoul Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 The idea of the change is good, there just needs to be limits. For example, after a certain tree height (or width), the block just breaks normally by itself, without taking down the rest of the tree. That way break speeds don't end up scaling to ridiculous levels. Or maybe that's very difficult to implement and not worth the effort. :-D
