Adding mods to tekkit

Hey... I got tekkit for 1.5.1 mac... Is it possible to add mods to tekkit? ie I mean I tried to add SPC and world edit mod to tekkit space or wat ever and it destroyed my tekkit! Can't launch it c t access my saves or anything! That doesn't bother me though but for future reference is it possible and how can I do it?

If so, do you have MCPC+ installed?

No I mean lik u put the world edit mod into the bin and the other three files in the minecraft.jar.... U get way I mean
