The memory it's referring to is not hard drive space. The memory it's referring to is RAM.

If a program mentions, "memory", than it will almost always be talking about RAM.

Try changing your RAM allocation settings in the launcher, using 64-bit java if you have a 64-bit system, and closing other programs to free up more memory.

Also, it would help us if you gave more information.

How much RAM does your system have installed?

And what Operating System, (OS), is it using? Windows xp/vista/7/8, Linux, or OSX?

Is your operating system 64-bit?
