Unable to connect to minecraft.net

Launcher Version: Technic Launcher Build 253

Operating System: Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Java Version: Java 7 Update 4, Java FX 2.1.1

Antivirus Program: Kaspersky Internet Security 2012

Description of Problem:

I open my technic launcher and it opens fine. Then I click on the modpack i want to use and log in and it says Unable to to connect to minecraft.net. It does this on every modpack I use.

I tired re-installing but it didn't work and i tried copying my friends folder and that didnt work either. Maybe it is to do with my firewall/antivirus??

Probably. Try temporarily disabling it.

You need to use your e-mail adress to logon to the server. Particulary if you have migrated your account to Mojang.
